“Gas Safe Register has released several Technical Bulletins and Standard Updates that Gas Safe Registered business/engineers need to be aware of – the updates are available to all registered gas businesses/engineers via the engineers page of Gas Safe Register’s website; https://engineers.gassaferegister.co.uk

• ISU 025 BS 7671: 2008 + A1: 2011 Requirements for electrical installations. IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition.

This Standard Update provides an overview of the main changes to BS 7671: 2008 + A1: 2011.

• TB 043 Electrical work on gas appliances.

This TB has been reviewed and where necessary, revised and replaces the previous version published 19th August 2010. The TB provides guidance to self employed persons and business that are not registered with Gas Safe Register regarding electrical work that can be undertaken without being registered with Gas Safe Register.

• TB 081 Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 – Requirements (Statutory Instrument No 1988/635).

This TB has been reviewed and where necessary, revised and replaces the previous version published 19th August 2010. The TB provides a general overview of the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

• TB 118 Safe electrical isolation of gas appliances.

This TB has been reviewed and where necessary, revised and replaces the previous version published 20th September  2010. The TB provides guidance on the safety precautions to take when working on appliances and the safe electrical isolation of gas appliances.

• TB 119 Electrical safety requirements for gas appliances installed in rooms or spaces containing baths or showers.

This TB has been reviewed and where necessary, revised and replaces the previous version published 20th September 2010. The TB provides guidance on the electrical safety requirements of gas appliances in rooms or spaces containing baths or showers.

• TB 122 Approved Document P – Electrical safety – Dwellings.

This TB has been reviewed and where necessary, revised and replaces the previous version published 20th September 2010. The TB provides guidance on the changes in Approved Document 'P' Electrical safety – dwellings that are relevant to undertaking gas work.

In addition, both Index's – Technical Bulletins (TB 000) and Industry Standard Update (ISU 000) – have been amended”.
