BS8558 & BS6920
• BS 8558: 2011 Guide to the design, installation, testing and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages – Complementary guidance to BS EN 806
Came in to effect 31st December 2011, this Standard in conjunction with BS EN 806 - Parts 1 - 5 replaces BS 6700: 2006 + A1: 2009. However and in the area of domestic water supply, BS EN 806-5 isn't due to be published until June 2012 and until then, BS 6700 is still valid.
BS 8558 provides guidance on the design, installation, testing, operation and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages.
• BS 6920-1: 2000 Incorporating Amendments Nos. 1 and 2, and Corrigendum No.1 Suitability of non-metallic products for use in contact with water intended for human consumption with regard to their effect on the quality of the water – Part 1: Specification.
The Corrigendum, which introduced minor amends to BS 6920-1 came into effect 31st October 2011.
