Gas Safe Safety Alert 009 'Rothenberger/Worthington Cylinder Recall Notice'
Gas Safe Register has released a Safety Alert in conjunction with Rothenberger to registered businesses/operatives who may be using Rothenberger Torch Kits, or replacement fuel cylinders, purchased prior to 15 January 2012.
The Safety Alert relates to a potential for un-burnt gas to escape from the cylinder valve after initial use and subsequent disconnection. Worthington Cylinders is voluntarily recalling its MAP-Pro, Propylene, and MAPP cylinders sold before 15 January 2012, which were sold as both replacement fuel and in torch kits under the brands Rothenberger, SuperEgo, Castolin, Turbotorch, Nevax, Bromic, Uniweld, Ameriflame, Hotery, Go-System, Turner and Worthington.
